n8n on your own instance for most workflows: you own it, it is cheap to run and your team can read it. TypeScript on your cloud when a workflow needs tests, high volume or complex logic. We do not build on a personal account you cannot take over.
Who hosts it, and what does it cost to run?
You do, on your own instance or cloud account, billed to you by the provider. The quote states the expected monthly hosting cost before you sign.
What happens when a connected tool changes?
The workflow fails loudly, not silently: the alert names the step and the error. Under Run we fix it within the fix target. Without Run, the fix is a small quoted change.
Can it use WhatsApp?
Yes, through the official WhatsApp Business Platform on your own verified business account. We never automate WhatsApp Web or personal numbers.
